Week 4:
9/16/-9/21/19
Welcome back my loves! Fourth week of school and I hope y'all are getting in the groove of your classes and the way college works! I didn't really work much this week at school. I worked a lot at Home Depot. I loved seeing my fam jam from HD and from school. Catching up with them and being able to see and ask how they are doing was nice! I finished so many homework assignments this week, I am so proud of me to be honest. Thursday evening I went to Salsa on the square with my friends in LEA and we had the best time ever! The weather was beautiful, it was windy, chill and so many people who were happy and dancing the night away! Stephen my friend, taught me some moves and we danced for the night on and off. The instructors were awesome and so sweet! On Friday, my bestie Marissa and I had a presentation in Spanish and we passed it! I believe I received an 97/100 and I felt like I did well and I know Marissa did awesome! Afterwards, her and I treated our selves to tacos. quesadillas, and sweet corn from the Taste of Mexico truck that was on campus for Hispanic heritage month. Over the weekend, we had the 5k Dash for our students to raise money for our scholarships. It was an awesome experience! I had the honor to walk with Richard, a man who was mentally challenged. He did such an awesome job at the race! He didn't stop or anything! He kept on going and was running/walking by just like everyone else. We talked and had a great time. I am so blessed and thankful to have met Richard and his sweet wife Michelle. Our ambassadors and faculty/staff did such an awesome job with setting everything up and making sure the race went smoothly. Awesome day! Later that day I taught a story time lesson to an age group from 5-11 years old. They did a great job with listening and being active with the lesson and activity. I loved seeing the kids and the smiles on their faces. All in all, sunday was my recovery day. I got to sleep in and I worked from 12-8pm, during those times I got to work, study, and get lots of homework done. I hope y'all had an awesome week/weekend and keep up the awesome work my loves! You can do anything and everything. Take care my loves & I love you all!
